A mooney has crashed at Jandakot Airport (third mooney incident in a few months actually)

it looks liek the aircraft had an engine failure at low level in a go around from one of the paralell runways, and has put it beyond the threshold of runway 30.

details sketchy

Information received third hand via Nafenn suggests there may be an evacuation in place at Perth Airport at the moment due to a suspicious bag being found. This was about 10:45am.

EDIT: Was the domestic terminal and the all clear has been given around 11:37am. There's now a predictable amount of chaos with flights all over the place :)

According to the PerthNow website, there was a suspicious bag offloaded from an Emirates flight ...

Zeb that story doesnt make a lick of sence

Qantas Termal T2 is the Domestic terminal so this is correct
Hundreds of passengers were evacuated at 10am following the discovery of four suspicious, liquid-filled packages found inside luggage in the baggage holding area in Terminal 2 - the Qantas terminal
However what the hell des the EK flight from DXB to SYD have to do with it, it doesnt even land in perth
The suspicious items were discovered during standard screening procedures after the bag was offloaded from an Emirates flight from Dubai en-route to Sydney.
make up your mind, 1st the bag was found in the T2 holding areas, then it was off loaded from a EK plane traveling to SYD??

Still clear as Mud

There is no YSSY YPPH OMDB rote, QF and EK do not codeshare, or interline, infact EK hate QF like like fat kids hate exersise, thoes are 2 airlines that do not speak to each other...

The 1st YPPH OMDB flight leaves at 6am, the 2nd leaves at 1030pm, the bag was found around 10am

Some one either missed their flight, or was up for a very long lay over in perth

My apologies... it was OMDB - YPPH bound for YSSY:
A BOMB scare has triggered chaotic scenes at Perth's Domestic Airport, with hundreds of frustrated passengers caught out by cancelled or delayed flights.

Hundreds of passengers were evacuated at 10am following the discovery of four suspicious, liquid-filled packages found inside a bag during a standard screening procedure.

Police said the suspicious-looking package was found on an Emirates flight from Dubai.

The package was destined for a connecting Qantas flight to Sydney before it was picked up.

Because it's Qantas property, not WAC. They make their own rules.
