I think you'll find that gkoutlis is aware of this and would have no problem with throwing him in jail. He merely pointed out that at this point in time, the culprit...or should i say numpty...is not behind bars yet. But he could be behind bars for 2 years.

From what ive heard a tender has collided with an aircraft.One casualty.Also tanker involved.Only caught the end.Was handed over to police.What a night to have drama.Some thing was on fire and extinguished.

According to news reports - flight from Hong Kong to Perth - has encountered severe turbulance somewhere over the Northern tip of WA - with casualties on board (unknown severity)

Reports a Qantas plane enroute from Sydney to Perth was struck by lightning last night - apparantley causing delays at Perth Domestic Airport.

Gear unsafe light remained alluminated on climb out. Remained in the circuit, Right Gear door not closed reported by the tower while on downwind. Aircraft performed fly past of the tower with gear down, tower reported right gear remained up, but came down after a delay. When on climb out, right gear door remained open. On downwind pilot reported the light had gone out, requested second flyby to confirm.

tower confirmed all 3 wheels up and doors closed. pilot elected to continue on flight planned route.

Lightning strikes another Qantas plane

22nd July 2009, 14:45 WST

A Perth-bound Qantas plane was struck by lightning shortly after taking off from Singapore today....
To stop displaying signatures, go to the User Control Panel > Board Preferences > Edit display options > Display signatures > No > Submit

These strikes happen daily to aircraft all over the world, however, when it appears to be a Qantas Aircraft It always gets a mention...

Passengers onboard a light aircraft that was forced to conduct an emergency landing near Broome today escaped with minor injuries, according to reports.

Emergency crews report that four passengers were "walking wounded" while another may require a stretcher to be moved from the scene.

It is not yet known why the pilot made the emergency landing.

The crash occurred at an area known as the 12 Mile, about 20km out of the town.

Broome Sgt Roger Haynes said details surrounding the plane crash were still sketchy.

“It’s a difficult area to get through, there is fair bit of scrub out there,” Sgt Haynes said.
