Helicopters Australia have just taken delivery of VH-WKA a EC 145, the Eurocopter variant of a BK 117, she is the 2nd EC 145 in Australia

Hi Helitac, What is the EC 145 going to be used for? I went to meeting last yeat where helo operator wanted backing to have an AW 139 on order. :o

Two Bell Jet Rangers in Formation flew past on the swan heading towards Casino/Causeway.

The Blue bottom was the WA Police BK which was out and about the other day after maintenance.

The EC 145 will be used up north I believe for offshore work.

The 2 B206's would be the people who ops out of the casino.

Hi Helitac, I never heard or seen EC 145s being used for offhsore work. Normally all S76s, EC220s and new EC225s have just started. A few BOK117s and 206s about. I'm sure you are right being in the know, though do you know where? I guess it could replace the BOK117 at Veranus Is. :lol:

I think it is to replace the BK that they have in use.

just saw a white EC145 fly over my house. very similar to the BK117.

Oh yeah baby, that a real nice helo. Better than the S-76++ I was flying around in this week. :lol:

Maybe Polair should consider this as a replacement to the BOK 117.

Hi WAsaint, it's a small multi purpose chopper used for transport, police, observations etc etc.
