Quansheng TGK4AT from HongKong

Post by maximus »

A friend was impressed with my modded TGK4AT that he went and bought one from HK recently and I said I would mod it for him. Took it apart and the bugger has a new circuit board! Does anyone know how to mod these new models?
thanks in advance

Mod them to do what exactly?

Remember if you are using it outside of the CB band you'll need to be licensed!
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

It's illegal to own a tranciever that allows transmission on any frequencies where you aren't a license holder.

So like yorky said above, if it can TX outside the Australian UHF CB band you are in trouble as you mentioned in the other thread that you don't have any licenses.

mod it to rx/tx CB channels as it only goes up to 470.000
yes it's illegal but I only use it on proper CB channels so I'm not fussed about it

They don't appear to be approved for CB use either.

Does it matter that much? I'm sure that if he gets caught it's his problem. All he was asking is if anyone knows how to do it.
Fortunately it's constructive and on-topic for us to raise the points.

I have been looking but am unable to fond the rules of this form.
Basically I believe the idea of this forum is to promote responsible, law abiding comments and advice on all things scanner related.
I do not believe it is the p[lace to promote incorrect use of radio equipment.

Just my 2c worth.

no i know i wasn't inpling that you should say its right when its not but at the end of the day its his fault if he gets cought i think his old enough to make his own decision in involving him self in illegal activites

i think (without hurting feelings) everyone should just relax and enjoy what we all do here .
