ok i have just got myself a uniden UBC73XLT scanner. and im not understanding the scanner world very well when people say a freq why do they say example: ch1 419.000? why ch 1 does that mean on the scanner it has to be set as ch 1? sorry for the question if it seems dumb haha?

Hi,

Best to stick everything in your other thread, but to answer your question no don't worry when people say the channel number. It is usually specific to the organisation they are referring to for example Channel 1 CB or Channel one of XY company. You may plug the said frequency into any channel of your scanner so to speak :)
