WA Radio Scanner Users' Group

Thanks to whoever put this up, I've been listening for a while and although it has been a little quiet (expected for a tuesday morning I guess) , the sound quality is good and its nice to hear jobs being called the old fashioned way again. Cheers!

cheers for the link! pretty dead but still good listening. i miss driving aroung the metro area and just listening to the scanner... was enjoyable.

Hahahah yea it was great i was actually driving around town listening to the scanner in my car and ended up following them around town for a bit..... Although it was a bit hard to take some pics after the event coz there was cops everywhere out the front of the station where he eventually pulled up... Althou GWN was there and filming it!!!

Well it is actually me i asked Gavin to post it.. So it would go in the correct spot!! But yea it is me with the online scanner!

@ Nedwos: I think we have our lines crossed. You referred to the Kalgoorlie GWN cammo, whom i commented was also a WARSUG member, and you replied "it is me". I thought you were claiming to be the GWN cammo. Sorry

Seems like the digital revoultion has arrived in Kal too. Just heard two officers discussing unfamiliar messages on Tadis. One female officer made comment something along the lines of "Dont worry mate, we are all still trying to figure these new things out"

Yes they do have the new units here.... A few times now as i have been listening to it in the background i have heard them having problems with it... "How do i reset this thing" "Battery has gone flat can you do a name check for me" At the moment they haven't stoped the dispatching of jobs and they haven't completly ruled out doing checks as it seems to only give them limited infomation as i have heard that sometimes they have done a check with the unit then asked KalBase for a check on the same person and could they have further information about all their inquiry's as i think the unit only brings up that they have an inquiry under their name not the actual information about the inquiry..... So at the moment i still believe they are useless to a point!!!
