Hi All,
I have recently purchased a 40 channel UHF radio for my car. I will be heading up to the Karijini in a couple of days. Could anybody tell me what channels I should check on the way or is it a case of just scanning the network?
I have travelled up and down the coast of WA for 25 years ( being and ex Kimberly boy) but have never had a radio to communicate with other travellers.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated,
Cheers

G'day Rucken,
It's been quite some time since I've used UHFCB, but I'd think that channel 40 would be the one you'd hear the most on when you're travelling. It's the one that most of the truckies use.
Also, if you come up behind a car towing a caravan, etc have a look on the back of the vehicle and you might see "UHF 16" or something like that on the back, letting you know which channel they normally monitor.
But to be on the safe side, just scan all of 'em
