Do you mean Channel 9?
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

I worry about these sites and that people rely on them, as they pull information from publically available websites rather than through a direct relationship with the fire authority.

I know that Mount Barker VFRS is setting up some donation tins to put around town. Might be worth a shot for ALL VFRS/BFS/VES/VFS Brigades to do the same.

The nearest fire front is about 90 minutes away, practically on the other side of the city.
Thanks for your concern mate, much appreciated.

I said earlier that the person detained in relation to the NSW Peats Ridge fire was released. He has now been arrested and charged.

Also 15 year old male helping police with enquiries after explosive device detonated in blue mountains. (http://www.abc.net.au/)

My channel 9 had cricket on it channel 7 had an ongoing thing on till 4:30pm (im in perth metro)

Just seeing those cars all burnt out on the main road in king lake makes you wonder how high the death toll will go, multiple mvas with just sheer desperation to get out.

He was an Icon on TV in Victoria. Many people over the age of 25 would remember him well.
He is no more important than the others who have tragicly lost their lives but most Victorians will have known him. Prehaps that may influence more of the public to assist those who have lost everything.
