hey all.. i am kinda new to this stuff... just wanting some frequancys so i can listen in to perth area..... is there any good strong channels and codes u can send please,,,,i can only get a taxi channel....so not cool....

G'day Kimmy.

Hopefully you have had a good read of the site and have noticed the threads regarding the WAPOL service not being able to be scanned any more. If not, have a bit a of a read.

Air frequencies are quite busy. You will find a lot of information in the Aviation area. But for a rough start try searching the range 115Mhz - 140Mhz AM band with 25Khz spacing. Depending on your area you will get to hear something.

I am sure others will point you to other areas.

Why not head over to the General area and introduce yourself and tell us what your scanner is?

What do you want to listen to, Kimmy? Many of the services have their own section on this site and frequencies are available in their section (eg Ambo, Fire, Air, Transport etc) Taxi is definitely boring in my opinion

Is this the same person who posted about 2-3 days ago with a very similar thread, complaining that they could only hear taxi's?

hey well i recieved some replys an thanxs to all the nice crew.. my scanner is a bearcat ubc61xlt... it was tuned in by like a 10 yr old before i left..... i will quite happily listen to anything that is not taxis(no that was not me before).... i live more so in the northern area of perth... and thanks for the website that destroyed my day...just kidding.. the one thats stated that i cant use my scanner for police frequencies.. its all good though,,,yes i actually read it,,,, THANKS AGAIN>>>> and if anyone could help me with sum intresting channels,,,,bring it on!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure how far north you live but you can hear the PTA transit guards (on the trains etc) on 418.300, the tower is in Joondalup.

If you are not close to Joondalup then have a look in the public transport forum on this site and you will see a list of the other repeaters that are closer to you.

120.5 MHz AM = Perth airport (tower I think?)
129.6 MHz AM = RFDS
468.600, 468.625, 468.650,467.175,467.225,467.475,467.725 MHz FM = SES (there are more)
458.025 MHz FM = ES Channel A
458.075 MHz FM = ES Channel B
476.425 MHz FM = CB channel 1 (Add .025 MHz for each channel after)
146.700 MHz FM = Roleystone amateur repeater
