Just a thought, what if....

Post by Reevesy »

Wouldnt this be great, if the forum was extended to cover scanning in every major city. For example, the sydney scanners guys would have their own spot to talk about scanning in sydney, melbourne guys, perth guys would still have their own, darwin guys, brisbane, adelaide. You get the picture. Just a thought.

It hindsight the idea would be good, but probably won't work to well.

Do you really want clowns from other states who can't have a civilized conversation creating more work for Gav & Doug to do while ruining the boards reputation for having a civilized community?

If it were to happen a whole name change would have to happen, because the WA in WARSUG wouldn't be applicable to us in other states. G & D are a fair couple of blokes, so it could work.

I say keep it how it is, there is nothing stopping other people from joining in on this great board.

As opposed to clowns from WA who can't have a civilized conversation?

I don't see how having sections for other states will ruin the board, personally. There might be a bit more activity on the board, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Where does radiotech say "Part there of.....he says ..." jasonjag?

If he didn't say it you shouldn't quote him as saying it.

Personally I think that if folks from other states want to have a scanning forum, they should set up their own ;)

It's nice to have something WA-based for a change instead of Sydney or Melbourne being the centre of the universe. I think we're doing OK as we are, serving the interests of radio enthusiasts in WA.

If folks from other states want to jump in and contribute, all well and good - we've had a few in the time that the forum's been active, and they've been good value.

But the primary focus I think should stay with WA. Just my 2c worth ;)

Nothing stopping other-staters joining in anyway - they already do. But, I agree.. leave it WA.
