Northern suburbs anti-hoon

Ladies and Gents.

Just a word, anyone who wants to collaborate and discuss out in the real world about "hoons" and what we can do to HELP Police by sighting and reporting incidents and relevant info either post here or PM/MSN me.

I'm getting slightly on the ticked off side at all these deaths and property damage, where we really need more active eyes on the street.

The only way to solve problems is vigilantism and mob mentality. It has solved many great conflicts throughout history.

I hear where you are coming from! Got the same problem south of the river.

Hoons constantly tear up in my local neighbourhood. Nearly every day I see new "hoon markings" on the road or another knocked-down street sign or traffic light. Speeding through school zones is an ever increasing problem too... watched a kid nearly get mowed down in a school zone by a 4WD doing at least 20k over with no rear licence plate.

I always observe and report any serious bad driving or hooning to local police. Unfortunately I am also aware the thin blue line is already quite stretched and they rarely have the chance to follow up on it.

They followed up a complaint i made nearly 3 months later, all good, they had a good talking to from the police according to the very nice policewoman who ended up with the job...point being no more regular hoon activity for some time, it seems the 2 number plates i gave the cops were the main offenders.

They followed up a late evening complaint from me early the next day. They were on other duties when I rang.

Unfortunately the thin blue line is almost transparent these days.

In most stations they are below 'minimum' staffing levels. Unfortunately if you need help you pretty much have to rely on yourself.

ok, i admit this sounds dodgy.. but trust me.

apparently I am listed on WAPOL's 'hoon database' for doing burnouts in my local area. was informed by unmarked when they pulled me over for RBT. obviously someone has 'dobbed me in' using WAPOL hotline.
here's the part that sounds dodgy... I'VE NEVER DONE A BURNOUT IN MY LIFE! haha

is there any way of getting this listin stricken from my WAPOL record? The two lovely officers told me not to worry about it because its just a side note and its not going to affect me blah blah blah. but still... don't like being accused of doing something when i didn't do it. i'll take the blame if i did it.. but i didn't!
any serving WAPOL members care to shed light on the matter?

cheers

If you have not done anything wrong then lodge a complaint with the police complaints section, their number is in the white pages.

lol

why bother. I am sure they keep investigative information on a lot of people.

I have my name down years ago when I used to be a security guard sitting around the files somewhere. You can write them a letter and ask that they supply you with all information on y ou (FREEDOM OF INFORMATION LAWS) and that any information be destroyed if not needed for an active investigation.

its within your right.
