for a start if your going to call the police about 'hoon' activity be prepared to identify the vehicle and driver then make a statement and be prepared to give evidence in court

Yes, but the most efficient outcome would be for Police to attend the actual job, see the 'hoon' doing there thing and charge them there and then. Going to court with no evidence isn't going to achieve much?

The person you spoke to on the phone wouldn't have been the person in the police car if that's what you're getting at??

Well it reached a new low last night after I observed a couple of cars hooning in a carpark again. Called police, gentleman said there's nothing they can do and even without a rego to go and submit a report.

:?

How the hell am I going to go and submit a report on it? Say "oh I saw a car hooning". Right.

Most unhelpful. Ever.

Do you think this is just a case of Police Communications Officer can't be bothered to write up a job?

Could be the carpark was classified as private property?
