For the record, I consider the space shuttle and space station to be very much on topic - they both use radio communications technologies, and most NASA astronauts are amateur radio operators. Google SAREX (Shuttle Amateur Radio EXperiment) or ARISS (Amateur Radio on the International Space Station) for more information.
