Is rather disgusting, but similar has happened in perth (I'm pretty sure, happened a couple of years ago, so specifics are fuzzy) to paramedics when someone from a party fell from a balcony (intoxicated of course) paramedics arrived and started being assaulted. Fire fighters had also been called, they stood in to try and protect the paramedics till police arrived.
