Polair 61

Post by pirahna »

hi everybody to all you polair 61 fans,

i happen to know one of the pilots that fly the police helicopter a bit of info on the chopper for you its a kawasaki bk117 it has 2 turbine engines on it maxing out at 1500 horsepower its just a little bit more fasterand louder than the new rescue 65 helicopter bell412.

recently last month it has just come out from an overhaul at jandakot some of the rotors had to be sent to kawasaki in japan for reconditioning thats why it has been down for almost a month but just last week they pulled out of the hangar and now she is back on her landing trolley.

if anyone has any questions on polair 61 dont hesitate to contact me.[/b]
