Hey All

Been a member on here for a couple of months now so its about time I introduced myself. My name is Scott, 22 years old and i have (dont hold this against me) moved here to not so sunny this week Perth for work.

Joined Singleton VBFB as was with a equiv FRS brigade in Tassie since i was 13, progressed from cadet ranks to firefighter, but enjoyed more of the "Fresh Air" fire fighting of bush fires ( I suppose the fact that I have two heads restrict me so I cant use BA properly is the main point I am getting at here)

Mainly UHF and Marine VHF / 27meg scanning in tassie back picked up a handheld about 2 weeks ago for FESA and Police, aswell as the ones I had in Tassie.

Very informative site here

Will most likely see some of you around in the future

Cheers

Im Andrew and Im 22. I've been living in Albany for the last 6 months but come up to Nth Fremantle on a regular basis. I got given a scanner and started to listen both in Albany and in Perth. I came across this site when I went looking for more frequencies to tune into. I have been reading the boards over the last week and find it all quite interesting. Nice to meet you all.

Gday guys,

Names Chris (23), I just got my first scanner, UBC61XLT.

I've had a long interest in scanning, and amateur radio, however along with my other hobbies (cars, photography) and work, I just havent found much time or money

I work as a Emergency Response officer subcontracting to Alcoa, and will be commencing SJA VAO training soon :D

Cheers guys, great forum and terrific info.

Hi my name is Victor (19) and I live in Rockingham, studying Computer Science at Murdoch University.

I don't own a scanner as of yet but I find the discussions regarding our emergency services, transit services and radio frequencies in general very interesting, especially since it's mostly local stuff as opposed to America for a change.

From the looks of things many of you appear to have very professional occupations, thumbs up to you all!
