Sounds like some areas of Kwinana Fwy northbound around Como are flooded. MRWA Traffic Cam shows all cameras offline, very unhelpful for drivers planning their trip home.

1) http://www.mainroads.wa.gov.au/NR/mrwa/run/start.asp

2) at the bottom page - select icon - Traffic Cameras

3) a second window will pop up - titled Main Roads Traffic Cam - so all you do is select the district you want on the Grid and yeah it should work.

Severe Weather Warning-Upcoming Cold Front approaching Perth

Post by gkoutlis »

Hi all;

As you may or may not be aware, Perth is in for real punishment, thanks to a Strong to Severe Cold front developing off Perth's coast. Currently situated approximatley 800kms West of our coast.

It's expected to bring heavy rain, squalls, severe thunderstorms and hail. I'll keep you posted. - I was at Jandakot Airport having a chat with a few people who have contacts in the Weather Buearu - and they say there are 2 systems, the first one, developing early morning tomorrow will bring showers, however the one behind it will pack a punch - currently pressure is 995hpa (and falling)
http://www.bom.gov.au/defence/forecasts ... ptic.shtml

No doubt the SES Angels as I call them (coz of the top job they do), FESA and other Emergency Services will be on alert tomorrow late afternoon when this second cold front is expected to hit the coast.

Will know more tomorrow.

Cheers,
George

I just got information from a fellow SJA person - that Garden Island is actually being evacuated... - As a result of this incoming severe storm, not sure if anyone else is able to verify this....

Sounds interesting, the storm front is fast approaching the metro coast.
