not sure mate. I had heard a tree branch dropped onto one of the roads but that that was cleared pretty quick. Maybe to prevent further instances of that. Not sure, but the rain will help the park recover after the fires earlier in the year.

Looks like it's going to be a flat out Weekend from tonight for our men and women in the Emergency Services - with a Severe Weather Warning now being broadcast by the bureau.

Toodyay Road, at Lovers Lane has been CLOSED due to a Bushfire.
Access to Toodyay town site can be obtained via: Lovers Lane, River Rd and Julimar Rd. Or via Great Northern Highway, Chittering Road and Julimar Road.

Sandplain Rd from Toodyay Rd to Folewood Rd CLOSED
Folewood Rd from River Rd to the Shire Office CLOSED
Goomalling-Toodyay Rd near Woodindale Rd CLOSED
Northam-Toodyay Rd CLOSED between Great Eastern Highway and Toodyay Road. Access to Toodyay coming from the Northam area is recommended that you drive to Wooroloo townsite situated off the Great Eastern Highway. Then follow Fernie Road, to Toodyay Road, turn right at Toodyay Road then you follow the deviation off Toodyay Road (Lovers Lane, River Road and Julimar Road)
Dumbarton Rd at Nairn Rd CLOSED

Bushfires are threatening homes in Beechboro and Caversham

Reid Highway is closed between Altona Road and West Swan Road
Benara Road is closed between Altone Road and West Swan Road
Lord Street is closed between Marshall Road and Reid Highway
Marshall Road is closed between Altone Road and Lord Street

Traffic Lights at Reid Highway/Altona Road are flashing amber for police request.

Alternative routes:
Tonkin Highway to at least Guildford Road or Great Eastern Highway is your best plan to avoid the area
