Concerns re posting of information for use by the media

Post by Zebedee »

Folks,

There have been a few posts in other threads regarding the use of the Road Alert sticky by the media.

This is a legitimate use of the forum and anyone who chooses to post information into the sticky thread should be aware that the information may end up being on a radio station's traffic report.

Of course, there's nothing to say that you have to contribute to or read the Road Alert threads. If you don't agree with providing information for use by the media, please don't post in that particular thread. (Sorry to be blunt, but there's no other way to say it!)

Thanks to everyone for their contributions thus far.

Thanks for your opinion however the thread is staying put for the forseeable future as there are people who are finding it useful.

Of course not every thread and every topic will be of interest to every forum member, but that's OK too :)

Unless it's a country road, then it could also be Car vs Cow :)

I think this needs to be said, and that is - "THANKYOU"........

....to all who have participated in the Alerts - It has helped me on 2 occassions avoid traffic chaos - and think its a great thing to have on this site, and very appropriate - with regular updates from Joss, Doogues and all others, I think this deserves a "pat on the back"

Keep up the good work guys..
