Earthquake in Kalgoorlie

I know it's not really related to scanning, but heres to my 1000th post...

Confirmed Details from the Bureau...

Time: 00:08am
Date: 5th of July 06

Confirmed Magnitude: 3.2

Location of Epicentre: 6Km's South East of Kalgoorlie - called Mt Robbie??

The reason why it was a real decent quake is because the quake occurred 7 kilometres below ground level which for an earthquake is very unusual - They should be like 100+ kilometres below not 7 - All mining blasts have been delayed for today as they (the Bureau) is looking into further aftershocks so yeah.. there you go.

I was in Geraldton in 97 when one hit near Kalbarri. Even though we were 150 odd km away, I still got woken up at 4am by the whole house shaking for about 5 secs. Was a weird experience, sounded like a train going right past the window.

hey Mr G you didn't buy a oz lotto ticket in Kal did you?Someone in Kal is 25mil richer and don't even know it. :lol: They recken that's why the earthquake happened because someone was jumping for joy :lol: :lol:
