Count me in Gav can you please pm me with your Bank details though as I don't have a credit card. Just a few ideas tho maybe we could organise the stickers and those who donate$10 or more could get one for free. We could organise regular meetings to dicuss anything scanner related. We could also try and get a scanner shop on board willing to give discounts on scanner accessories just a few ideas. If we have every member jumped on board and donated some money for the WARSUG I am sure this is all realistic optiions. So come on members with artistic abilities submit a new logo to Gav so we can get a sticker desinged.

After looking around and seeing that many companies publish their bank details on their websites I suppose there's little risk in me doing it here :-)

Good ideas Donga. I like the idea of meeting every so often in real life. Helps put faces to usernames :-)

.au domains require a ABN before you can register them.
Im assuming WARSUG has one ? :?

For the record, how much has been donated so far ??? :P

I thought that was just .com.au domains? I'd probably get an org.au or net.au...

We still need a few people to donate to make the domain name happen 8)

Hi Gav and Folks,

Those of you who know me will already know this.

The guy that owns Prestige Communications (Scott) in Malaga is the best mate of my future brother-in-law, so I can ask him if he's willing to play ball and 'look after' warsug members.

You in favour of this Gav?

I also think that this should be a restricted/membership only forum as we never know who is reading this forum.......

cheers

I'll have to chat to you Tom in PM exactly what you're thinking about there, but it sounds... interesting :-)

I prefer WARSUG to be open unless there's a good reason why it should be made members-only.

Cheers,
Gavin.

But what stops them registering as members?

Gav,

If members aren't prepared to 'chip in' a nominal amount I don't think it's fair that your monthly gigabytes get hammered at your expense.

I agree with Millsy, keep an eye on how many 'guests' are on the group at any given time, you'd be suprised.

This group has sky-rocketed of recent as you said yourself that day we were with Walks, thanks to Mr G and the gang.

Their are some real weirdos out there Gav..I think you should have to approve all memberships and assess each on it's own merits.

If people don't contribute in say a 3/6 month period they should be arsed off..

nah, they just join and then do whatever they'd do anyway.

I'd prefer it was open. I like the informal feel of it, I'm not someone who rushes out to join "clubs".

I also feel that if it was a restricted membership that more members would be encouraged to attend 'WARSUG' meetings and outings as it would be more user friendly..and we could get to know each other.

At the end of the day, we might not always agree with each others postings at times and personalites might clash, but we all share a similar interest....

cheers
