Scanner able to 'pick up' a listening bug?

Post by River »

Was wondering if a Uniden UBC9000XLT scanner was able to pick up a listening 'bug' in a room if one was to sweep the room using a hand held antenna...?

Thanks, so I take it that if I spend the time and scann all freq's (25 - 1300) and yes I know that's going to take some time... and the 'bug' is on, the possibility of being able to pick-up the bug and urther the possibility of tracking it down may be possible.

Q? What would be a suitable hand held antenna to use? One purchased from Jaycar or the likes off?

If you want to upset someones day checkout some of the Home opens and display homes .I have found a few in Busselton and one in Bunbury that the salesman has bugged to listen to potential buyers when he leaves the room. Not nice . They don't like it when you let them know either.
