Hi Everyone

I spotted a Uniden UBC760XLT in an unnamed Cash Converters (its MINE!) the other day for $129 and I wanted opinions on if you think this is an alright price for the unit (and any common problems/useful points etc).

Cheers

Yep. It's a good shape and layout for in-car use.

At $129 it's okay, try and get it for $110. The 760XLT is pretty basic by today's standards, but it will do the job: firies, ambos, aircraft. No digital modes or computer control and it's not a 'continuous coverage' model. Think about a 780XLT for about $200 or so.

You've done okay with that at $129, apart from the advice Steve has given up there isn't much more to add.

There was one on here a few years back that went for $150:

Went in today and talked them down to $70.Then went and bought a Bandspanner and a cable/base from DSE, all up about $150. Only thing is DSE only did the cables with PL-259 connectors so I now need a BNC to PL-259 adapter. Anyone know where I could track one down?

DSE sell them, or Altronics or WA CB.

Just took it back and got a BNC cable from another store. Staff aren't really too helpful when it comes to things like that...

Cheers for the replys.
