nick!
I bought one off them about a year ago but I don't know about now - I thought the 92 had been discontinued?

At any rate, Prestige seem to have them cheaper than DSE at the moment

It isn't on DSE's website so chances are they don't have it.

Anyone know the diff between the 92 and 93?

Tandy sell them for $269 but I got a cash discount which brings it to $249 save $20

hey guys just picked up the 93xlt from tandy...for 218 bucks...been testing out the scanner in comparison with my UHF, and it seems like my UHF radio picks up more CB channels than my scanner...i thought the scanner was supposed to pick up the channels better than my 1watt uhf...a lil baffled....

The scanner antenna is designed to be broad, to receive from 30-850Mhz.

Where as the CB has an antenna designed for the CB allocation 477Mhz.

Of course if you just want to listen to CB you could buy the appropriate antenna for the scanner.

Same antenna? Same location? The CB is designed specifically for UHF CB; the scanner is designed to do the best it can over a wide range of frequencies and modes so don't expect too much
