How much performance increase would i see over a scan ducky?

Is that RH-771 the dual band amateur antenna? If so it's probably no better for scanning than any other antenna of the same length. It's not even particularly good for amateur radio. A 40cm piece of wire would likely be just as good.

I got 2 of the Diamond-RH771 mainley use them to monitor the airbands and the performance is excellent even on othr bands compare to the stock antenna scanners come with
