New to Scanners

Post by diamond_volley »

Hey All

I was just wondering what a good basic scanner would be as I'm new to the whole scanner concept and just wanted something simple to start on :?:

It all depends on what you want to listen to. :) The Uniden 72XLT is less than $200 from one of the electical retail stores, covers Fire, Police and SJA frequencies as well as amateur, aeronautical and CB frequencies. I've never used it and don't know what its performance is like but might suit a beginner's requirements.
