Anyone here use or used an Icom IC-PCR1000 ?
Got one with a discone (I think) Ae.
Yet to be setup.
The think links up with software on your PC so partly used the PC processing power to run it.
Worked well last time I used it, interface is a little dated though.

dont get too excited. its likely a UHF model - they're fairly common around the traps and are actually legal to use on UHF CB as long as the power is turned down to 5W.

I have a UBC 57xlt, have a custom home made BNC-SMS adaptor so i can plug in a Bandspanner Mobile arial for in car use.

I am located in the Mandurah region.
Have a UBC248clt using a mobile 1 vertical antenna mouted 15 metres
and a mobile scanner BC246T which runs a Discone antenna which is also mounted on an approx 15metre mast.

just purchased the new UNIDEN UBCD396T.it's awesome!!6000 channels including the firies! 8)
on here between 11:00pm-6:30am weekdays

I currently have a Uniden Bearcat UBC9000XLT as my base station (need to setup my discone antenna on this one for better reception)
A Uniden Bearcat UBC60XLT Handheld and a Uniden Bearcat UBC760XLT that I am about to install in the truck (just need to find my external antenna.
