Dick smith and Tandy sell them in there big stores, (perth city, boragoon etc)
Maybe you can hunt one down in Bunbury or Ebay is a good resource

Here is a cheap one on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/UNIDEN-ubc92xlt- ... dZViewItem
RRP is $299

I bought mine from tandy as it was $10 cheaper.

Great scanner, can scan pretty much everything apart from "normal" FM and AM radio

Yes. i was bidding on that one. at the end of the auction , i accidently enter 170 instead of $270 :? , by the time i resliased, the other son of a bitch got it, . dont you hate that feeling when you are the only bidder? and then some other ***t takes it from you. man i cant belive that.
oh well, its propbly better i came here becuase its second best if its on ebay. so it looks like its a retail store now.

Ebay is good because it is cheap(er)
but i think retail is better because if there is problems, you can always take it back

youwould think in a big place like perth that heaps of places wopuld sell them.
i thought i was buying the scanner i wanted but it wass a US model of the ubc92xlt that misses out all the 50 - 80 mhz :x
plus those unidens down in the 80 mhz areas are only at 15khz steps or sometihng.

Only when purchased online though, if you go into the shop it's more expensive.

Oh well, go to DSE and have a look at it, then purchase online at prestige.

Wha? Prestige is a short drive from my place. I've always bought stuff by the online price and picked it up in person. If anything, they make money on store customers by not shelling out for the free postage promo :-)

Well when I was getting my scanner for my birthday present earlier this year, mum called and asked them if I came past and picked it up would it be alright, and they said no, for that price it's only order online...they incorporate the free postage into the price ;)
