Hey Guys,

I bought one of these scanners a little while ago, I dont know what the warranty is on them, but it's broke now.

The problem is that the headphone socket is shorting out and I only get sound when I plug headphones in.

If I use a match stick and poke around a little, I sometimes get sound out of the loudspeaker.

Does anyone know where I can get it fixed, or is someone able to fix it for me.

I have pulled it apart but appears to need a special tool / key, to pull it part further.

Mate can I suggest you take it to WA CB, he is pretty good and should be about to fix it.

WA CB is probably the best option.

Usually they have around a 12 month warrenty against manufacturers faults. Take it back to the dealer you purchased from, and if you have no luck, try emailing or ringing the supplier direct and keep on their case.

I have a uniden UH075 UHF Handheld and the same thing was happening, dick smith were not really a great help, so i tackled uniden direct and had a new one within a week.
