Afternoon!
Just scored a lovely shiny new stainless VHF yagi,
Problem is, it is shiny....
What is the go with painiting it? Apart from the stickability of paint to stainless, does paint- say enamel or 2 pack deafen it any?
Was thinking a nice drB olive colour or Dr Evil black?
Or is anodising the answer?
Cheers

Re: Painting ants
Painting ants usually just pisses them off. It also leaves a hell of a mess
In all seriousness though, I've had luck with painting my vehicle's UHF antennas using fiddly bits black gloss spray paint. I now have black antennas, not shiny stainless steel antennas.

Grab the paint you want, grab a non metallic version and then spray it onto say a bit of A4 paper and stick it in the microwave (after the paint dries fully). Stick it on for 20 or 30 seconds and then if the paint is nice and cool it's good to use on the antenna as it will be RF transparent.
