Ask away, no stupid questions when you are new to something.

Hi Tassie, like you I'm new and I have the same scanner, which, up until now has been used to hear perth tower and approach frequencies. Ive not changed anything on the scanner and yet when I'm next to the airport, the scanner, which is on scan, squawks, I hear nothing of value, but the correct frequency is displayed.
I used freescan to set up the scanner, is it possible I have deleted an important setting?
Can I reset the scanner to factory settings?
Is there somewhere in Perth I can take it for a check, someone who knows what their talking about?
I purchased scanner from new, however I'm beginning to think there is a fault. The guys in the shop no even less than me

Like you Tassie, helllllllllppppppppp

Hi panigale, I can send you a freescan file that will have all the required settings that you can try. I'll email it to you if that is ok?

Panigale to reset the 396xt to the factory default
Turn off the scanner. Then press 2, 9, and Hold while turning it on.
