Learning about my Realistic Hyperscan pro-2027 100 channel

Hey Everyone, I'm looking for a little info on my pro-2027. Havent used it in years. Does anyone know how old it may be? Also any suggestions on how to use it? I remember hearing that the squelch has to be set so that it not only scans but is making noise too. Any information would be greatly appreciated. - chanel
