V8 Supercars Trading Post Challenge 29/4-1/5/2011

Post by Zebedee »

This weekend marks the return of the V8 Supercars to Barbagallo Raceway in Perth after being absent last year.

Looks like it'll be a good weekend of racing, with several interesting support categories as well as the V8s.

For those who are interested, the programme of events can be seen at the V8 Supercars website (link above).

Only part I'm not looking forward to are the early morning starts. I plan on being at the gate by 6am on all three days. and won't be leaving until after 6pm most likely. Blerghhhhhhhhh :P

Please use this thread to discuss anything relating to this event, including any radio frequencies in use by the race teams or any services in attendance on the day...

And I've inherited a new sticker on the bottom of my car's windscreen! ;)

Enjoyable day so far. Fair few people for a Friday. I'm spending the day at flag point 3 at the end of the esses so if you're around, come say hi ;)

419.900 is the frequency for the flag marshals. 419.225 I think is the crash / recovery crew.

EDIT: Nathan and I are in Flag Point 9 if anyone wants to come and stir us up ;)

It was certainly that! Had a good, if tiring time though over the three days. I'm glad to be back at work so I can have a rest ;)

LOL i took my own, (not so good as it is a ubc68xlt i think and made in the mid 1970's) and i was in the box, and the officials left a simoco transceiver (scanning mode) on the table and told me to use that.
