The organisers insited that the public not be informed that this was happening. Therefore everyone involved had to deny it was on. The media was on a very strict embargo.

It was done as part of the Media confrence as most media wont be allowed on the infield at barbs on sunday

Not by choice! I'd happily be flagging, but finding out at 4pm yesterday that the car I pit crew for is actually a part of the event was somewhat of a surprise, so my priorities have had to change in a big hurry :P

Nathan - wait till you read the "Notice to Officials" memo for one of the other benefits of being an official on the day ;)
