Did he say what type of aircraft it will be, wether its the jets or the Roulettes and the times.

I know the Roulettes are doing some training at 12:20-12:35

All kidding aside, it said on the news tonight that the chappie's out of hospital, but won't be racing this weekend coz they don't have backup planes.

Hi Hodgie - thanks for the link and frequencies! Muchly appreciated. Am originally from SA and am looking forward to the air race.
I have a UBCD396T digital handheld scanner and will be doing some searching today as sometimes WA Police use digital unencryption for additional foot patrols during special events. I'll report back later if I find any frequencies for all of you with digital scanners.

Hi I'm using a canon 5DII with a 400L f2.8 prime and a 70 to 200L f2.8

today & tommorow I'm in the race club so I'll leave the 400 bucket and use the 200, the 400 is just to big and heavy as all hell!

All things aside, sometimes it pays just to have a $120 camera! Fits in your pocket and takes some good shots that are just as good as those.

Beside that, great pictures!

For those who have digital scanners:
Just heard some unencrypted P25 transmissions this morning (10hrs) on 467.1500MHz
Heard "Testing, 1 2 3 4 5" - obviously setting up for the Air Race day.

Also heard unencrypted P25 transmissions (foot patrols only, base is encrypted) on 469.400Mhz. Appears to be the Forrest Street (South Perth) base compound.

And also just heard (as I type) 466.1500Mhz P25 unencrypted transmissions.

All above frequencies have a combination of encrypted & unencrypted transmissions.

Have a great day and enjoy the race!
