i beleive they have always had 2 (they also have plain red bull choppers), one main one, and a backup - they had a static display chopper in 2008, i beleive that was the secondary chopper
Thanks for that Nafenn
Never seen the HB-ZJF before, and i think i saw the white (plain) heli land at South Perth the other day which was a AS350 or AS355

ummmm... im not sure that they have a squirrel, might have been a heliwest chopper
Also: info from some WAAC students: the aircraft are currently at the formula aviation hanger at jandakot, and the chopper(s) are at Heliwest

be on the north shore though
Driving down Riverside Drive today, the fencing is up around Langley Park and the hangars were just about finished.
There's also cyclone fencing opposite Langley Park right along the river - couldn't get a good look (I *was* driving after all ) but it looked like the City of Perth doing some kind of work involving underground services. I'm not sure if that work would be done in time - it looked like they still had a fair bit to do...

Correct. Fencing is around the "Airport" and alongside Riverside drive. Looking from my building, most of the gates foundations are up including the stands on south perth shore
Does anyone know wether any RAAF Jets are coming to the RBAR. I hear that a F111 is going to do some training North of Perth in the days before the RBAR. It would be great if it preformed as one of the side acts with the after burners

That would be nice...
They are freaking loud when only 150metres up in the air last time I was on Garden Island.
yeah, the pigs are fairly noise... but the hornet they had a few years ago wasnt exactly quiet - 50' off the deck, full afterburner pointing at you... THAT is loud!
And Langley park is an airport... YPLP is its ICAO code. I beleive its not "registered" (long technical story, CBF going into it), but is opperated by RACWA

A military jet of some description flew north up the coast yesterday but by the time I saw it, it was too difficult to identify.
Might have been an F111.
