ta for the info.

I'm guessing the data channels won't have anything useful other than data tones?

Quiet an interesting Skyshow - Most of our foot patrols consisted in us getting hounded by the media each time a casualty had an "incident" along the way... - also am so fed up with the drunken yobbos who abused, spat and threatened - when people asked us for drugs or syringes etc - Now.... - Do Volunteer First Aiders really look like we carry that sort of thing anyway??? - NO!!! - So if we refuse to answer and keep walking - these dickheads who think they are australian by wearing the flag as a cape and acting up - why should we get treated like that - being followed etc??? - *end of vent*

anyways - overall - I was impressed with the Air Show by the different planes etc - and those Jets - wern't they awsome???

there was an airshow? saw the helitanks do a drop,
heard some jets, but that was about it

and some of the abuse that we got trying to get places on a P1, i think they would think differently if it was them, or their friends that we were trying to get too

Well I had a listen whilst on the shore about a k away whilst watching the sky explode.

I listened to the 3 operation channels which were all busy bees, one however someone had there portable's switch down for about 20min and no other portables could contact there command. Seemed liked fights were breaking out everywhere by the sounds of it.

One thing I didn't get the freq for was the circling air traffic, that was almost a spectacle in itself! How on earth they manage that many aircraft in one spot I'll never know.

The show boating aircraft during the afternoon went over where I was near Nedlands as it seemed to be the flight path for them so lots of interesting plane spotting there. The 8 odd choppers in formation was a sight to see. The jets went over so fast I only saw them for about a second though. Rescue 65 is mighty good lookin.

I also saw what looked like a bunch of Police cars (possible boats) southside towards the city along the freeway that stopped short of the bridge, dunno what was going on there.

EDIT: From above, yes there were dozens of different aircraft doing flyby's. And I also heard on the command channels of police always needed to escort ambo's through as they couldn't get through the crowds.
