Hmm... how many of the people in here going down south for leavers are actually leavers I wonder... or toolies

Some idiot got charged with assault for head-butting a police horse in Dunsborough..
Poor horsey, I bet it did more damage to the guy than the horse though- would serve him right too.

The new 'toy-cop' uniforms are gradually being phased in across WA, no more country khaki.

Made it down to Dunsborough this arvo.

Saw the following cars crusing about the town:
YD201 VZ (Dunsborough Highway Patrol)
AR105 VZ wagon
TE210 TEG VZ SV6 with new LED light-bar on roof
2-3 bikes, they seemed to be stopping anything that moved.

Saw these at an accomodation place where the officers appeared to be staying:
UQ102
UQ103
UQ104
VF106
RB616
RJ202
UQ302
VF108
TE203
ZO101
VK103

VK103 was 1BUZ*** and ZO101 have both been replaced with new cars so they must of just 'borrowed' these cars from Fleet Services before they get disposed of.

Had a 'run-in' with some police, when I grabbed some pics of some cars I found parked at some units. I explained that I photograph Emergency vehicles and they seemed to be cool with it.

Some Police officers are really understanding that members of the public have an interest in WAPOL cars/FESA/SJA and some seem to have a problem with our hobby.

After checking with the 'boss' they said it was ok to grab some pics, they were alright with me, just told me to take extra care with the 'current state of world affairs'.

Never saw TK103 or any TM vehicles.

stevesperformance, could you please post the call-signs of any cars you hear tonight. RQ201 was parked at the rear of Bunbury Police complex also.

Also managed to get some pics of AO203 Mandurah SV6 on the way down there, will post pics on oz-pol for the members of that group.

Damien, will no doubt post a more comprehensive list when he gets back from leavers.

I am on leavers and am a actaul Leaver.

In my opinion the police are being really hard on people from minor traffic things such as not indicating out of a roundabout.

Heard of a rape, theft and the horse thing. Another one was when the cops where booking a car the kids let there tyres down.

There is about 4 or 5 unmarked sedans and 1 unmarked wagon. Got many photos and will post them when i return.

Tom,
The V8 got the better of me. but there are some problems with the ticket so we'll see what happens

Damien,

I got that impression when I saw you down in Dunsborough on Sunday, they are going a bit over the top in my opinion.

I was watching this guy on a bike stop everything that had 'P-plates' that drove past him parked at the BP servo.

They did seem very heavy handed, giving everything that moves a caution or an imfringement is more likely going to get peoples backs up and possibly backfire.

Any probs with the toolies??

stevesperformance, what car have they got in Margaret River replacing RQ201, I guess it would be a Bunbury car. RQ201 is pretty old 1BM**24 is the rego I have which would make it a 2003 VY II, might be time for a new car me thinks. I have some pics of it taken earlier this year.

oz_police_vehicles@yahoogroups.com.

Do a search for it in yahoo groups then you need to apply to become to a member.

That's where all the car pics get posted as well as stuff from the rest of Australia.

Saw TE203 at a traffic stop in freo this arvo, so that's back from Dunsborough, in need of a wash tho'.

Was behind TK103 tonight on Wanneroo rd another vehicle that was reported down in Dunsborough for leavers.

Looks like everything is back to normal again.
