While looking around the site i found no reference to the frequencies used at many public places, these could be interesting when visiting them

a few ideas may be:
zoo
museum
etc. etc.

Jared,

Who are you trying to listen to on the island ?. Most ships rarely use uhf except when talking to ports vessels when coming or going. Most other traffic from the ships is encrypted.

Group 4 sec would use radios but there info wouldnt be much excitement.

Im not to sure either really. Just if there was anything there then it would be good to listen to. Perhaps I will take my scanner with close capture on when they have an open day

that will probably be best

but would the island be operating normaly during an open day?
you will have to be carfull not to get "generall" frequencies

You would get alot more useless chatter on the open day that you wouldnt get during the normal operations.

The only ones that would use radios that you would pick up would be transfield Fire, though they wouldnt req them very often, or group 4 sec and cant think of anything interesting that they could have to say.

Pretty much all ship traffic is scrambled and there would be no way of listening to it due to security measures in place.
