Timezone and daylight savings

Post by Admin »

Hi Folks.

If you're a fellow Perthite/Sandgroper, don't forget to bump up the timezone for your username by one hour. The setting is in "Profile" and of course it should be GMT+9 :-)

In 2007 and 2008, daylight saving will begin at 2am Western Standard Time on the last Sunday in October, and end at 2am Western Standard Time (3am summer time) on the last Sunday in March the following year.

Time to update your Profile for daylight saving, as above, if you are a WA resident.

Remember this is an announcements forum. Discussion of Daylight Saving and its merits/deficits is in the General forum.

Remember to change your time zone settings back to regular time.

Click on "User Control Panel" at the top right.
Select "Board Preferences" on the left hand side.
Towards the bottom is the "My timezone:" box.
Adjust it back to "[UTC +8] Chinese standard time, Australian Wes..."

Simple as that.

And under that, be sure that the "Summertime/DST" is selected to "No"
