Re: APRS - spy on me while I drive
That was taken down circa 2004 - Probably one of the spare antennas on the old wind gen tower so it wouldn't be overly high.vk6hgr wrote:Dunno. I'd guess the digipeater antenna on the main mast.

I got pretty consistent coverage up to Two Rocks through the Tic Hill digi and I thought that was impressive! (Using 30W though)
Any idea which tower & antenna the Tic Hill digipeater is on?

They are an excellent device - BRB . Whilst working on the road I was able to travel from Perth to Bunbury, all around the South-West region and back to Perth achieving coverage all the way - thanks to VK6KSB's Digi too! Quite a remarkable unit considering it's only a 5W 'radio'. My setup is the BR...

The coffee machine was no kettle at all - Grinding the coffee, fluffing up the milk and a little chocolate sprinkled on top! =D> Not to mention the blow heater keeping you warm all day, I'd like to see the lighter socket stand up to that let alone the little red generator #-o It was a wee bit chill...

What antenna did you use for HF ? I got a dozen eastern states contacts using a 1/2 size G5RV before the storms damaged it. G'day Martin, We probably had 40M of electrical cable out as the radiator - Tied from the verandah post out to a tree, then right angles across to another tree. Used the veran...

Isn't that where we're going Rob? West of Cranbrook? Hey Wes, The question was a Dorothy Dixer ...! That was your cue to come in and tell everyone that Lake Nunijup is about an hours drive north of Albany. Beautiful lake, used by locals for water skiing in the summer, some big trees to hang wire di...
