What frequencies can you get with sufficient "Interesting" traffic? - Just off the top of your head, I'm not asking you to sit by the scanner and listen to the results of a search :-) I know "Interesting" is different for everyone, but I don't think anyone would consider the cont...

What about PCI scanner or radio. All software controlled. Can't your scanner be controlled by USB? I still think my system could work.... if we threw enough cash and geeks at it - no I'm not volunteering :-)

Configure your voice recognition software to detect someone saying 8 8, ( though I think detecting 3rd or higher alarm would be more beneficial) activate your second scanner, filtering out everything except communication between 6AR/IP and appliances involved with the incident. I assume you mean radio reference.

VLC or Real player both work on windows.

VLC on linux

Scanner radio on Android.

Something happening on great eastern highway in Chidlow this morning. Westbound 2 lanes closed 0600 for 5the mins while car loaded onto carrier. Looks like it rolled.

How does 6AR know that a catastrophic event has not occurred taking out all appliances at an incident? After about 1930 they spent about 10 mins trying to raise someone at the stirling highway incident for a sitrep .

Hmmm... Google Reader is not one of their best products.

RSS updates can also be verrry slow. Emergency updates can come through 18 hours late :-(
