Just had Helitak 681 fly over my place headed for fire in The Pines (Wangara)
Can only see a small amount of smoke/

Currently only hearing 6AR on 164.2750
Unable to hear any o9ther traffic but 6AR are responding to calls.

OK, I have 23 and 50 plugged into my desktop, standard antenna (yet to rig up the discone).
What range should ch 23 and 50 produce. I am in Beechboro and get nothing.

I assume it is the aerial but just want to check.

I went and had a look (took the 4 kids) and got some good pics.
Got to go inside and have a look and talk to the pilot.
