I would like to know what Ch: and SYS: numbers are been broadcast in these messages from the QV1 Site.

Re: Uniden UBCD396T - and trunking
No idea, but I would say that as "MixerId=0" would be the same as not having a MixerID entry, it would be the default Sound Card.yorky wrote:Do you know if the MixerId=0 is referring to the actual sound card or the sub lines in/mic etc?

Re: Uniden UBCD396T - and trunking
Under Sites Database, Add one call "Biscom" (or whatever you like), ID 0049, Control channel 415.925, base frequency 415.5625, step 12.5. I realise your current interest is solely in the Biscom QV1 Site, however I recommend that you name the Biscom Sites along the lines of Biscom - QV1, B...

Re: Uniden UBCD396T - and trunking
. . are you ment to hear the conversations as they speak? Certainly are. When the scanner is changed to a Traffic (Voice) Channel frequency on receipt of a GTC (Goto Traffic Channel), TrunkView will also un-mute the speakers on the PC, so you can hear the conversation, assuming everything is set up...

Re: Uniden UBCD396T - and trunking
It actually surprises me how trunk tracker radios can't do MPT, once you get your head around how it works its a rather easy process that it takes (well, from looking at the front end of course). You have to remember that scanners are mainly designed for the American market, and while MPT1327 has b...

Re: Uniden UBCD396T - and trunking
Now I'm guessing its got to do with it being a USB sound card, and/or that Windows calls it something like "X-Fi Line in/Mic" instead of the standard "Line in". I've tested with an old PC with it just called "Line in" and witnessed its correct operation of muting while...

Re: Uniden UBCD396T - and trunking
listening to Stirling Security it seems several vehicles are able to hear each others conversations. Would this show up in the system under that Group Call? Yes. Based on the very limited number of Idents you have posted, I would guess that the 6111 Ident is a Group Ident, and Idents in the 13xx ar...

Re: Uniden UBCD396T - and trunking
How do you identify the talk group ID that is using it? I'm looking to isolate Stirling Security's group (seems to come up with Org: 1325 Tar: 6111 does that mean anything? Technically, MPT1327 doesn't use TGIDS. MPT1327 uses Addresses, which consist of a Prefix (a 3 digit number, usually shown in ...

Re: Uniden UBCD396T - and trunking
I'm just trying to put together in my head how it will work, obviously the the audio output plugged into the PC, that means when the scanner is directed to the active talk channel the audio is going to come out of the PC as well. That's correct, the Clear Down message is transmitted over the Traffi...

Re: Uniden UBCD396T - and trunking
Thanks, those two links don't work though :( Hmmm. All of Tony's webpages are gone. They were still there late last year. The site from my link seems to start at 415.625 MHz, does that sound correct? http://warsug.info/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7978&p=83009&hilit=stirling+trunk#p83009 Yes - C...

Re: Uniden UBCD396T - and trunking
Thanks for you input. The 800Mhz Motorola trunks are not what I wanted a program to track, I realise the scanner can handle them. What we are trying to figure out is handling the 415.000 to 417.000 trunk from my first post, and if the single radio and this program is enough. The UBCD396T is listed ...

Re: Uniden UBCD396T - and trunking
Yep thats it trunkview. There is a list on page 2 of general scanning section(central park trunking).I might give trunk view another go. That is a VERY confusing post. TrunkView is ONLY for decoding the MPT1327 Trunked Radio protocol, and the 800 MHz frequencies listed above are Motorola Smartnet wh...

Re: Perth Trunk Tracking Guide
Numloxx and others, does anyone know what ID's and such needs to be entered into a trunk radio for either the Joondalup/Wanneroo stations and the QV1 trunk? It depends on what Trunking system you are talking about. I think the ACMA Database still shows an 800 MHz Motorola system for Joondalup/Wanne...

Re: Uniden homepatrol
I was looking through the uniden site and found a scanner called homepatrol.Just want to know if it would work in Australia. It looks like you have to program it to your area.OK looks like it only works in US/Canada.Bummer http://www.uniden.com/products/productdetail.cfm?product=HomePatrol-1&fil...
