Re: Helitak Thread

It will be interesting to see what comments come back from the residents of Stoneville. If I lived up that way, I would be more than happy to have it there during summer From the people I've spoken to (including a local newspaper journo), that seems to be common. It would seem a lot of people are b...

Re: W.A Fire Appliances

Spotted the other day, The Iveco Daily 4x4 dealers demo unit with a slip on unit on the street outside DFES Headquarters in Cockburn Central. Heaps of ground clearance on that baby!!! There are 6 of these units being trialled throughout WA at the moment. 3 are single cabs, 3 are dual cabs and there...

Re: Helitak Thread

A proposal has been placed with the Shire of Mundaring, by the operators of the Erickson Aircrane (the big orange one), to place a helipad and facilities in Stoneville, so as to relocate the Aircrane's operations from Jandakot to Stoneville. The proposal is open for public comment until August 27th....

Re: AFP Exmouth

I think that's where the factory option reversing camera is fitted, the cover must have fallen off. I agree yorky, that wass my first reaction too. The LED light strip above the bull bar is an LED spotlight (white), not red & blues. Several of my friends have these on their 4WDs, they are brigh...

Re: Bassendean VFRS

That's absolutely shocking!!! How can DFES turn it's back on SO much history and heritage  . I had heard a rumour of a possible ammalgamation and move to the old Midland Fire Station when the WAERN project moved out. Where on earth at Forrestfield Academy would they house an operating VFRS bri...

Re: Labeling two-ways

We had all of our hand held UHF and VHF radios at the ABC engraved by a sign/engraving company. Looks neat, clean, uniform and professional. No idea what it cost though.

AE - where do you want to use them? I'm updating my online galleries at the moment and properly sorting some images that have been hidden in strange folders on my computer previously. Sure I have some of your appliance. Hi kylep, sorry for the delayed reply. Most likely usage is our website, possib...

Hey Matt. Do you have any thing with "Darlington" on it in your collection 8) If you do, appropriate acknowledgement and crediting would never be an issue.

Darlington, Glen Forrest, Stoneville and Sawyers Valley have all had a LT replaced with a 1.4R. All Shire of Mundaring brigades now have medium tanker (1.4, 3.4 or 4.4)

(she seems to have access to mid and high band radios) and doesn't know how to get her WAERN radio to monitor both channels. Depending on the age and setup of the appliance some appliances don't have radios that can dual receive the VHF Hi and Mid bands. Some appliances have the old black Tait 2020...
