There has been numerous interesting articals lately including in todays paper about it, as a current applicant I hope this goes in my favour but at the same time I dont think th...

Now that their part of AFP they only do the Airports and Embassys in Perth . The detention centre is staffed by a private contractor similar to AIMS. Dont know the name of the company, The former APS tendered for the contract in 2002 but lost it to the private company. From what I know of the job it...

I think the current system is ok, the OIC at VKI (Inspector) normally give the call to abort, much to the disgust of the troopers in the field.

Safety takes priority.

I cant really answer this yet with allot of knowledge but to I am to the best of my knowledge the Heli is their primary aircraft and the fixed wing (62) is the secondary aircraft. I think the Heli is more dynamic as it can be used for rescues as well as landing in the middle of knowhere duing operat...

Scott, Not sure mate, where did you hear that. They definatly need a helicopter for pursuits and other work, they still need to hover and do rescuses etc. The fixed wing aircraft is more used for transporting officers in emergencys and operational use when Polair 61 is out of action. I will confirm ...

Plenty of examples--this is a public forum and I am not going to publish them on here. The PTA budgets for security on the bus network, this would just be an extension of the current Transit Guard Operation. Transit Guards currently have authority to deal with offenders on any PTA property including...

The HERO's are responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and clearing an obstructions that occur on the freeway. I think the main reason they want the priority status is so they can get through traffic to attend to incidents on the freeway. In NSW the RTA Traffic Emergency Patols have this...

I think they all have differant purposes, SJA dont really need police radios as they are basically an air ambulance and get instrucitons from 6DS. Polair 61 get their instructions from VKI as firies get theirs from their comms. Communications have an intercom system where they can speak to each othe...
