Police road patrols cut as deaths soar

Came across this article today, and thought it was quite interesting to note the number of patrol hours, RBT's etc all being reduced on 2006/7 in comparison to years prior (even by up to 25%!). Considering the alarming rise in our death toll, shouldn't this be the opposite?? http://www.news.com.au/p...

My ex has a 27Mhz he bought second hand from a hire boat guy.... We searched for ages about 2 years ago trying to find one with no luck (except overly priced ones). He still uses it around Rockingham, as the sea rescue there still has the band operational.
