Im 99% sure there is a law about acting on information heard over a scanner, but I think its very rarely enforced.Zebedee wrote:But, to the best of my knowledge, there is no law prohibiting a person from acting on something they have heard on the scanner.

I am just using the "Nightshot" mode on full auto settings and standard on camera flash. I use out video camera light too.
Im not game enough to use manual mode yet though Im sure it will improve my shots.

Mainly using a Canon 350D and sometimes a 400D.

Everyone who goes down that street is being stopped.
I identified myself as media and was still stopped TWICE in the same street and had the car checked over.

An ambulance driver told me if you are stopped behind a car or number of cars at a stop sign you will win as you have stopped and the law doesn't indicate that you must stop within a certain distance from the line... apparently.
