Give 162.6 MHz a try. That's the frequency for the repeater in Two Rocks.

Re: DFES 6AR

Is there a way to listen to DFES on the radios you can get for your car, if so is it hard to do Short answer is no, you can't. The FM broadcast band goes from 87.5MHz to 108.0MHz. The DFES frequencies are higher than this, up around 164MHz. So your normal car stereo won't tune to those frequencies ...

Re: Tracking of Fire Appliances

Oh, yeah, and I also forgot. Check for an older operational circular. States that the radios co-ordinate display may freeze, and not provide updated co-ordinates. Yep, I'm familiar with that circular. This isn't "freezing" as such this is "just doesn't work at all". We tend not ...

We can also have a co-ordinate readout displayed on the vehicle radio's display. I've had mixed success with the GPS functionality in WAERN radios. It's a bit of a lottery as to w...

Re: Frequencies list

Take a look at the vk6.net website, there's all kinds of info on there.

Perhaps start with the repeater listing and put some of those in. Depending on the repeater and the time of day you could hear some stuff on any that are close-ish to you.

Most of the online resources are designed for the US licencing system and syllabus.

However the Radio and Electronics School in Queensland have a multimedia course (comes on CDs) available.
