Re: 1.4 Rural tanker
In my shire, brigades are issued LTs/1.4Rs depending on the terrain the brigade covers. My brigade, having lots of sandy coatline, dense bush, and hard to access tracks, has an LT, where has our neighbours have a 1.4R as they cover mostly flat and easy to access farmland. As far as I'm concerned, if...

Re: Carlisle incident
FYI, I have heard from PTA management that there are roughly 50-odd deaths on the Transperth rail system a year. Most of these are suicide, howver a few are accidental, which you will usually hear on the media about. Unfortunatly this a routine part of operating a metropolitian railwaya system - I j...

Re: Boost to Transperth security systems
You'd probably find that all the cameras are recording and the footage is held for a period of time should it be required, its unrealistic to have somone looking at that many cameras however it is good to know that footage at the stations would/could be available. Transperth holds all footage for 2...

Re: V8 Light Tankers
The V8's are great!
They've got a shedload of torque from the TD V8, and just cruise over anything.... Compared to a regular (non-FESA) 'curiser, they're a bit heavy, but the uprated suspension keeps everything sitting pretty.
I love them! Solid improvement over the straight six.

Re: W.A Fire Appliances
My money would be on it replacing Perth CLP 1. Freo's CLP still has a few years left in it, and I think the pros like the old Scania TTL around for the moment...

Re: Basso 2nd Summer Fleet.
I hate to say this, but it looks like Bassendean has the dregs of the FESA FRS fleet. Old LT, old single cab GPA, and the unwanted 1.4
Yet I seriously plan joining the brigade when I move to Perth!
